Call it
fate or maybe destiny, just listening to Michael and
Mary Gibson for a few minutes and you will quickly learn
the two were meant to be living this life. |

More than
15 years ago, the pair found themselves in the same
class at the Scottsdale Culinary Institute.
Pursuing second careers as gourmet chefs, Michael and
Mary were both at a cross roads in their life. For
him, after sustaining a serious injury and unable to
perform his job, the decision to enter the culinary
world was a choice in pursuing what he really wanted to
do for the rest of his life. For her, it was a
lifelong dream of doing what she did best... cook. |

"So that's
how I got stuck with you?" Mary jokes. |

Since
their graduation, the well-rounded curriculum and
training they received has taken them on their own
culinary experience traveling the United
States and working at some of the finest resorts in
southern Arizona. |

With
passion and dedication, the Gibson's set out to create a
place where guests could get back to basics, relax, and
enjoy fine food and great conversation. After all
their travels, they settled down and found their place
in
Oracle, Arizona, and that's where the
Sonoran Bed & Breakfast was born. |

It was
truly a labor of love for the Gibson's who put more than
two years of renovations in to the "Sonoran" before
opening the doors in 2007. "Mary fell in love with
the place and its potential," says Michael. With
help and support from friends and family, the Gibson's
set out to completely renovate and update this home in
to the Inn it is today. |

Driving up
to the B & B, one gets an immediate sense of the peace
and tranquility amid the desert landscape and Spanish
hacienda-style home. Michael and Mary welcome
guests into a
intimate courtyard
framed by a beautiful
grand archway, a
perfect setting for a romantic dinner under the stars or
a place to engage in conversation with guests. |

They enjoy
spending time with guests and have plenty of
true-life tales of grizzly bear encounters and gold
claims in the Klondike to share. Guests will also enjoy
visiting with their canine partner, Baccus, and
resident kitty.
Named after the Greek God of Wine and Merriment, Baccus
loves it when guests come to stay as much as the owners. |
 |
|

|
But let's
not forget the food... their specialty. Sitting at
their table will be a treat, a virtual slice of culinary
heaven. |
|

|
As a
guest, you will enjoy a
home-cooked gourmet breakfast each morning
and by special request, our chefs can spoil you with an
exquisite,
custom six-course dinner. A true
culinary experience of your own, Michael and Mary will
work with you on custom designing a dinner that will
delight your pallet and enhance your senses. |

As chefs,
Mary and Michael put their hearts and imagination in to
each dish they prepare. As Innkeepers, they have a
passion for personalized service. Combined
together, this is a perfect recipe for creating the
amazing experience guests receive at the Sonoran
Bed & Breakfast. |

The
Gibson's invite you to share some time at their Inn,
enjoying the splendor of their hospitality and fine
cuisine. For them, it is most gratifying when
guests say they don't want to leave. "That's one
heck of a compliment!" says Mary. |
